A messy mix of winter weather expected midday Monday into the evening. Periods of light snow at times mixed with ice pellets is expected to move into the area near midday Monday and persist into the afternoon. Some areas may see snowfall amounts of 2 cm by Monday evening. A brief period of freezing rain is then possible in the evening before precipitation changes to rain. Motorists are urged to exercise caution Monday afternoon into the evening as untreated roads may become slippery. There may be an impact on the evening commute.

Ottawa South - Richmond - Metcalfe
Significant snowfall expected Monday evening and overnight. Snow associated with an approaching low pressure system is expected to move into the area late Monday afternoon or evening and persist into Tuesday morning. Some areas may see snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm.
Snow may be accompanied by ice pellets Monday evening and overnight before changing to scattered showers Tuesday morning. There is also a risk of freezing rain during the changeover. Motorists are urged to exercise caution Monday night and Tuesday morning as road conditions may be poor at times.
