Southern Manitoba under extreme cold warnings

Warnings

3:43 PM CST Thursday 07 February 2019 Extreme Cold Warning in effect for (areas in red)

A period of very cold wind chills is expected. Wind chill values in the -40 to -50 range can be expected tonight through Friday morning as bitterly cold northerly winds ahead of a ridge of high pressure continue to affect southern Manitoba. Winds should diminish by Saturday as the ridge moves over the area, but below-normal temperatures are expected to persist.

Dress warmly. Dress in layers that you can remove if you get too warm. The outer layer should be wind resistant.
