Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.
A low pressure system developing over southern Alberta this morning will intensify and track northeastward into central Manitoba by Monday morning. An area of moderate snowfall will spread eastward today into western Manitoba this afternoon and into eastern Manitoba by evening. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm can be expected over western Manitoba with this system with higher amounts of 10 to 15 cm for eastern regions. The snow will taper off from west to east Monday morning. In addition to the snow, strong southerly winds gusting up to 60 km/h will develop by evening and combined with the falling snow, poor visibilities can be expected in blowing snow tonight.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
