A low pressure system, better known as a Colorado Low, is moving across the US Central Plains. While this system is quite far from Manitoba, it brought a bit of snowfall across southern Manitoba today. Below are the current road conditions according to Manitoba 511:

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FOR NORTH DAKOTA UNTIL 9 PM CST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to two
inches. Total snow accumulations in eastern Ramsey, western
Lakota, and western Walsh will be 6 to 8 inches in a heavy band.
Snow totals will be 3 to 6 inches elsewhere.
* WHERE...Ramsey, Nelson and Western Walsh County Counties.
* WHEN...Until 9 PM CST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the evening commute.
