Threats: Hail 4-7 cm, wind gusts to 120 km/h, risk of tornado, and heavy rain
Ample moisture and instability will be in place for Monday ahead of a trough of low pressure crossing the area. Ongoing morning thunderstorms may reintensify in the afternoon hours as they progress eastward, and/or new thunderstorms will develop along the trough itself. In either case, all manner of severe weather threats will be present in the afternoon and evening. Thunderstorm activity will continue into the night as an upper level disturbance tracks near the international border, presenting a potential threat of heavy rain.
Possible radar depiction at 3pm CDT for southeastern Manitoba. Supercells will be possible around Winnipeg City to Steinbach area tomorrow afternoon. There will be a tornado threat in the early to mid afternoon for southeastern Manitoba.
