Manitoba snowfall update

Here is a quick update for snowfall through Monday for southern Manitoba. Decent amount of snowfall is still anticipated for most of Manitoba.

HRRR short-range precipitation type through Sunday night

Snow will start Sunday afternoon and last into Monday. Upslope regions of the Manitoba Escarpment will receive significant snowfall and so will areas along the MB/ON border.

  • Dauphin-Neepawa-Sandy Bay: 20-25cm

  • Brandon area: 10-15cm

  • Winnipeg area: ~10cm

  • Ontario/Manitoba border: 20-25cm

Snowfall accumulation through Monday afternoon

Accumulating snow is expected for much of the region starting in North Dakota Sunday evening moving into Minnesota before ending west to east Monday morning. Snow could impact the Monday morning commute as roadways may become snow covered and slippery, especially in northwest Minnesota. The center map shows expected snowfall, although these amounts could change as the forecast changes.
