  • R.M. of Wood Buffalo near Fitzgerald and La Butte Creek

  • R.M. of Wood Buffalo near Fort Chipewyan and Sand Point

  • R.M. of Wood Buffalo near Namur River and Namur Lake Reserves

  • R.M. of Wood Buffalo near Old Fort Chipewyan 201 and 201ABCDE

  • Wood Buffalo Nat. Park near Garden River and Thebacha Trail

A period of very cold wind chills is expected. Extreme wind chill values of minus 40 to 45 are expected to develop tonight. Extreme wind chills are likely to last into Monday morning. Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.

  • Tadoule Lake

  • Nelson House

  • South Indian Lake and Amisk Prov. Park

  • Split Lake and York Landing

  • Thompson Thicket Portage and Pikwitonei

A bitterly cold arctic air mass will remain entrenched over northern Manitoba for the next few days. Extreme wind chills of minus 45 will return to northern Manitoba tonight. On Sunday night the extreme cold will spread southward into southern Manitoba. Manitoba will return to warmer temperatures on Wednesday as a warm front pushes in from the west. Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. If it's too cold for you to stay outside, it's too cold for your pet to stay outside. Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.



SASKATCHEWAN

  • Cree Lake - Key Lake

  • Fond-du-Lac

  • Stony Rapids and Black Lake

  • Southend - Brabant Lake - Kinoosao

  • Uranium City - Camsell Portage

  • Wollaston Lake - Collins Bay


A period of very cold wind chills is expected. Extreme windchill values of -45 or less will continue over northern Saskatchewan through the weekend. Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill. If it's too cold for you to stay outside, it's too cold for your pet to stay outside.
