ECCC mentions 100cm possible in Alberta; 30cm already on ground

Heavy snowfall will continue over southwestern Alberta tonight. With continued upslope flow through the weekend, most regions will see significant amounts of snowfall. Total accumulations will approach 40 to 50 centimetres by Monday morning with extreme southwestern portions of Alberta possibly approaching 100 centimetres. The snowfall will taper off during the day Monday when the snow moves into Saskatchewan.

As of 9:30 AM 30 cm of snow has been reported in the Crowsnest region.

Heavy wet snow may cause local power outages.
