Trans-Canada Highway from Winnipeg to Portage La Prairie has shut down amidst freezing rain, which is causing multiple vehicles to head for the ditch. Above is the situation on Highway 1 heading east toward Winnipeg.
Not sure exactly what is happening, but an ambulance is seen heading east on Highway 1 toward Winnipeg near Elie:
